| "One of the best features of an Executive Golf membership is the Slammer Tour. This Tour allows players of all abilities to meet new people, and engage in some friendly competition. As a Tour Rookie, I have found that the other Slammer members are fun and encouraging, and they make the experience worthwhile, win or lose. There are always a number of events each week at great courses around the Ottawa region, and all events I have attended are very well organized."

Some of these guys are good!
Actually, some of these guys and girls are good... and only "some" of them, because the rest of us are still trying to figure out how to actually play the game.

The best in match-play, conducted by Executive Golf
The Slammer Tour is a fun but competitive golf league for public golfers who want to improve their game by playing by the official rules, and with a little friendly competition. Operated by The Commish, the Tour hosts regular events throughout the season (4-6 per week) at dozens of courses from Prescott in the south and Arnprior in the West to Montebello in the East and Le Sorcier in Gatineau. The Tour even holds periodic events in the United States.

First-year membership is free for rookies!
It's true, you just have to pay your event fees, which vary depending on the golf course. Furthermore, all full Executive Golf Memberships come with a built-in Silver Membership and playing on the Tour is naturally an optional benefit for EG members, but it is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon competing for fun and fame.

All skill levels are welcome
The Tour is set up for all skill levels and scores range from 74 to 120, so it truly is a league for everyone. The Tour doesn't use handicaps but is instead structured as a "ladder"; similar to a tennis ladder, where you "challenge" someone who is ranked above you. If you beat them, you get their position on the ladder and they get moved down one notch.

 |
It's about rank, points, dogs and bones!
Your position on the ladder is called your "rank". All challenges are match-play as opposed to stroke play, which gives lower-ranked Slammers the opportunity to take on the top dogs.
