In memory of a great friend and golf buddy.
Neil Cascagnette, also known as The Lad, is a lifelong friend of so many within the Ottawa-Gatineau golf scene, and especially within the Executive Golf and Slammer Tour family. Sadly, Neil lost his battle with cancer in 2010 and although we won't have the honour of having him play in our foursomes, he will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and mastery of the game of golf.

Cascagnette Passes
Scott MacLeod, August 17, 2010
Flagstick is sad to report that long-time member of the CPGA, Neil Cascagnette, has passed away after a tough struggle with cancer. Cascagnette had been courageously battling the disease but lost his fight on Monday evening, August 16th. Our condolences go out to family and friends – of which there are many. A local golf tour with which he was affiliated, the Slammer Tour run by Executive Golf, recently renamed a year-long compeititon trophy, the Cascagnette Cup, in his honour.
| This man was what a golf professional should be… proud of what he did and of the traditions of the game. More than that he was a hell of a man and larger than life in so many ways. If you were a friend of Neil’s you were always a friend. I was proud to be one. I’m one of many that will miss him. Thoughts go out to his great family. Greg Olson |
