Links at Lighthouse Sound
Situated on 1,000 spectacular acres of waterfront, this unique golf course was designed to protect the eco-system that surrounds its boundaries. Salt marshes, forests, ponds, native grasslands, and tidal pools provide a habitat for a variety of animal and plant life.
This pristine property has been the subject of numerous development plans, but in the end, most of the property has been devoted to golf. The course is designed to collect and recycle water, chemicals and nutrients in an effort to protect our coastal bays from many of the pollutants normally associated with development. To avoid filling in the coastal area, an additional twelve acres of wetlands and 2,000 feet of cart bridges were added during course construction.
Lighthouse Sound is home to the single longest cart bridge in North America, where a span stretching over 1,500 feet carries golfers from the bayside holes to the pristine back, river holes. All of this natural diversity, combined with Arthur Hill’s designs, come together to create a championship course that is visually stunning. Challenging enough to be considered “The Pebble Beach of the East” by Washington Golf Monthly, Lighthouse Sound is ranked #79th in the United States, and was home to CBS 2006 St. Josephs Pressure Challenge.

Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links
This property has a rich and storied past, and takes its name from the peninsula of land that extends out into the bay.
Legend has it that from 1696-1717, Captain’s Kidd and Blackbeard, two of the worlds most famous pirates, frequently sought shelter behind the barrier islands of Assateague.
Remains of 7 Native American cultures were found at several locations on the property during construction but, alas, no buried treasure was ever found. The two story stucco brick house to the left of the #6 fairway is one of the few pre-Revolutionary War dwellings in Worcester County.
Captain Charles Radcliffe is credited with building the house around 1740, and it was the main dwelling on a large working plantation that raised tobacco, corn, wheat, and merchandised local timber products.
Local lore has it that British troops came ashore during the Revolutionary War, in an attempt to conscript locals for their cause. When one of the Radcliffe sons refused, he was hung from a tree and he is said to still haunt the property.
Dozens of locals will verify moving pictures, mysterious lights, and loud footsteps late at night! The Radcliffe plantation remained in the family for several generations, but has since changed hands.
In 1969, the National and State Park Service acquired a portion of the farm, and in 1994 the developers of Rum Pointe agreed to transfer another 100 acres for expansion of their Assateague Island operations, as well as preservation of the Radcliffe house. The house will eventually be restored and opened to the public.
Most of the balance of the farm was put into a conservation easement, allowing only for the development of a golf course, thus ensuring this wonderful property’s continued access and use by the public!

GlenRiddle Golf Club
(War Admiral)
As the owners and developer of GlenRiddle Golf Club and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, we have built what we hope will become a nationally recognized golf property, supported and enhanced by what is already a world class name.
What you may not know is the clubhouse building that houses the golf and steakhouse operation was formerly the main stable of the famous Riddle Farm. Several famous racehorses, including Man O’War, War Admiral, and Seabiscuit trained here.
The horses bred and raised at the Riddle Farm are credited with changing the history of American horse racing. Man O’War was voted as the “Horse of the Twentieth Century” by the Associated Press, and the biggest horseracing event in history was the famous match between his son and grandson, War Admiral and Seabiscuit!
We have been honored to accept the responsibility of renovating the once grand stable. As much of the original structure as possible was saved, and the loft above the main dining room was sound enough to save almost the entire beam and timber framework. All of the stall doors and hardware were saved and preserved, and now serve as tables in the bar and member areas.

Center Valley Golf Club
The Center Valley Club is a premier upscale 18 hole course with top quality bent grass tees, fairways and greens. Renowned Architect Geoffrey Cornish created a fun and challenging golf experience for golfers at all levels of play.
The golf course consists of two unique nine hole settings. The front nine with its large mounds, pot bunkers, lakes and undulating terrain is styled as a "Scottish Links" type course prevalent in the British Isles. The back nine, situated in predominately wooded acres, with a meandering stream and five lakes is styled as a "North American Inland" course. Players can choose from five unique levels of yardage difficulty based on playing ability and personal enjoyment.
Selected by Golf Digest as a top 10 Public Course to play in Pennsylvania.
